I don't think you've been 'pwned', John. For comparison, the program I used took only about 10 minutes to scan a 40GB drive (as I remember it) and maybe another 5 minutes to recover the files from it....

Ontrack Data recovery helped me recover files from a formatted Hard Drive and it took only 1 or 2 hours, mainly because I was very slow searching what I needed. Lol John you're too paranoid.
